New Stone Island London Flagship Store – Launch Occasion
After 14 years at their flagship store in Beak Avenue, Stone Island have relocated to new premises at seventy nine Brewer Road, near Piccadilly Circus in London. To celebrate this momentous occasion a launch get together was held at the brand new retailer on the night of 21st March.
A number of representatives from the OA membership have been in attendance to help christen the brand new store along with a celeb visitor record that included Noel Gallagher, Maverick Sabre and Andy Fletcher stone island junior long sleeve polo of Depeche Mode amongst others. Carlo and Sabina Rivetti from SPW were also in attendance to make sure the shop received off to an amazing begin – DJ’s Thristian bPm and Gilles Petersen supplied the soundtrack for the evening for the 300 guests.
The store itself remains true to the “Item/Unit 2” retailer concept created by Marc Buhre, founder of the architecture studio Zeichenweg TM. The underlying theme of all the Stone Island stores is complete format versatility, featuring floating floors and hanging buildings in marine steel complemented by luminous vertical parts in fibreglass and in oiled oak.
Brewer Street’s essential difference is that now every thing is on a single degree, with a double-fronted facet although complete floorspace remains about the identical as the former premises at Beak Road. In distinction to Beak’s all-white minimalist method, Brewer Road is a darker, brooding environment dominated by an enormous moonlight image wall set up. Subtle touches embrace reflective fabric materials for the curtains on the changing rooms in a nod to one of Stone Island’s most celebrated improvements.
